Taking a Page Out of TechRyde's Book

One of the most popular restaurant digital ordering and POS system platforms is TechRyde. Our traffic and size are comparable to some of our global rivals at this point in time. We must have done something well because of this, and I genuinely hope that we do so in the future.

TechRyde serves many including ‘Starbucks’, ‘Pizza hut’, ‘The Wardroom’, ‘Straits Clan’ etc. What we're doing isn't groundbreaking in any way but we are trying at every level to reach as many of you as possible.

Observe what others do, but don't copy them.

Listen solely to those people who have something to say to you. To help aspiring business entrepreneurs, there are a plethora of resources available. Most of them think they know more than you about running your business. Put yourself in their shoes and begin to describe how they would run your business. All of this was done in an effort to provide direction for the general public. For entrepreneurs, the advice they accept or reject is critical. Everyone must do what they believe is right for them. No one else holds this as gospel truth.

At the end of the day, the focus is all that matters. Don't stop till you've completed your task. Understand what other people are saying and try to understand them. Don't mess with it. Do not let off the gas pedal.

Take a moment to calm down.

The founding team should take a step back every few months to assess the company's success from a business standpoint. In the world of consulting, the phrase "taking a step back" is a typical expression. Taking a step back has always prepared our team to leap into the future. Re-prioritizing a company's goals and bringing in fresh ideas can be accomplished by taking a break from the office. There is now a brief pause in the action.

Money can only solve one problem.

Then there's the financial element of things to consider as well. Nothing has changed except for that. Before we received our first round of funding, we were effectively running the show on a shoestring budget. At one point in our history, we thought the only way to address any problem was to have more money. That was not the case. Initially, a few employees didn't work out since we hired them for the wrong reasons. There are a few people who joined us for the wrong reasons.

We keep detailed records of every penny we spend on marketing to make sure we get the most bang for our buck. As for our salespeople, they've been drilled to the bone.

Do what you truly believe in!

It's a shared belief among us that what we're doing has value. We have never cheated our clients or misled our investors about our business procedures. And we want it to continue that way. Being firm has cost us now, but we are convinced it will pay off in the long run because we are firm.

If your staff doesn't all share the same vision and values, you'll have to spend more time and money training them, which isn't worth it.

Always maintain a dignified demeanor.

If you believe that all publicity is good PR, you won't get any more attention from your competition. It's more important to listen to what your consumers have to say than what your competitors have to say.
